"Hello students! My Name is Bill, and I would love to help you achieve your best in your Biology or Anatomy & Physiology classes.
First, a little about myself: I spent 25 years in the US Air Force. I taught electronics and communications for 5 years before entering Physician Assistant School. After graduating the University of Nebraska Medical Center with a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies, I practiced medicine for 10 years in Family Practice (Primary Care). I retired from the military and worked in Dermatology for a year. I missed teaching and decided to switch careers and become a high school teacher. I love it!. I also teach for Northwest Florida State College as an adjunct professor.
My goal as a tutor is to help students understand the subject matter in a way that helps them relate it to personal experiences. I truly believe students learn best when they not only see and hear material, but when they can tie it something of interest. I will do everything I can to help lead the student to success in the subject at hand. But, confidence is also important. I believe achieving goals is how confidence is built. We will set goals for both study time and for test scores. Meeting those goals is the objective.
I hope you choose me to help you. You are the reason we as tutors exist." less...
