"I have been a classroom teacher of on-level physics and AP Physics 1 in a public high school setting for 16+ years. My students are generally 11th and 12th grade students, but I have also taught 9th graders from time to time. I have a BS in Physics and a Master's of Arts in Teaching. I have a Minnesota teaching license and have maintained that since 2008 when I first started teaching.

My training, as well as development opportunities, has led me to a questioning style of teaching. I prefer to help students process their level of understanding by asking probing questions; this allows them to form their own mental processes and models that accurately reflect physics concepts and their application to the world around us.

I tend to think that I have a good relationship with my students. They are interested in me as a person, and that's reciprocated by me, too.
