"I am a current student at Princeton University studying Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. I have been interested in mathematics and physics throughout my high school career, and have currently do tutor students in the subjects of Algebra I and II, Physics, and Calculus. I was valedictorian in my high school class at George W. Hewlett High School in a class of 230 students, and I graduated with an Advanced Regents Diplomas with 5s on all 12 APs I took. Such APs include AP Physics 1 and C, AP Calculus BC, AP Chemistry, and AP Statistics.
I have tutored students of all age groups, but primarily ranging from elementary 4th or 5th grade up until high school seniors. I have a very wide grasp of how to tutor and have acquired skills in designing and setting up practice problems and worksheets that gear the students' minds to answer the questions in intuitive and clarifying ways. I commonly set up my worksheets based off of what the student needs work on the most, and I will start the sheet with simpler questions and more broad approaches to introduce the style of answering before delving into more complex situations with free response or multiple choice.
I have been teaching since my freshman year of high school, and so for 5 years I have tutored. I have taught both in-person and online, and have found that my online tutoring works best for finding times that fit into schedules throughout the day and week. I have done both volunteer tutoring in the classroom setting as well as one-on-one, with much of my virtual tutoring being one-on-one, which is most often preferred for me. I hope you can consider me as a potential tutor for your student - I know we can all succeed in our studies, and I aim to help you do so!" less...
