"Hello, students!
You can call me Silvano—just my first name. (Who knows, maybe one day I’ll open a place called “Silvano’s Learning Center”!)
I’ve been passionate about teaching mathematics since my high school days, where I got my start as a peer tutor helping my friends. That passion grew stronger when I began teaching at a high school shortly after starting college, and I haven’t looked back since. Over the past 25+ years, I’ve taught at community colleges, state colleges, and now at a university. Along the way, I’ve developed unique teaching strategies to make math more approachable, enjoyable, and effective.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Math Education and a master’s degree in pure mathematics, specializing in Harmonic and Functional Analysis. On top of that, I’ve completed more than 30 graduate credit hours with a perfect GPA. This combination of advanced mathematical knowledge and years of hands-on teaching experience allows me to tailor my lessons to meet the needs of every student.
I’m happy to teach all math courses, but I have a special love for college-level mathematics—everything from introductory courses to Calculus III and Differential Equations. No matter the level, my goal is to help you not just understand math, but truly master it.
Feel free to reach out whenever you need support. I’m here to help you succeed and make math a little less intimidating (and maybe even fun!).
Looking forward to working with you!
