As a former professor at a large research university, I spent 20 years guiding undergraduate and graduate students in diverse fields like education, game design, media studies, and anthropology. My academic background includes an art degree from Reed College and a PhD in educational technology from the University of Washington. Outside of academics, I used to be the webmaster and game designer for the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry. This experience instilled in me a deep passion for fostering lifelong learning and a strong understanding of effective teaching strategies. I believe in a holistic approach to tutoring, where I not only help you grasp the subject matter but also develop the confidence and skills to succeed independently.
My areas of expertise include college preparation, graduate school advising, and anything related to design.
