"My nickname is "Al." I am a third-generation Florida native retired teacher who has taught social studies, math, GED Prep, SAT reading and writing, Spanish, and ESOL. I am certified by WyzAnt in 42 subjects.

I have taught at the middle school and adult high school levels. I was a department head and curriculum coordinator. I have tutored ACT, ASVAB, ESOL, GED, prealgebra, psychology, SAT, Spanish, and TEAS.

I have a master's degree, and I completed all coursework for the Ed.D. As a college undergraduate, I was elected president of Gold Key Honor Society at the University of South Florida. I graduated with honors and a 3.625 GPA. As a graduate student, I was inducted into Pi Kappa Phi Honor Society. I earned my master's degree with a 4.0 GPA. I also had a 4.0 average in my doctoral course work.

I believe in a positive, relaxed atmosphere for learning. Students can learn almost anything if given the time and attention needed. Study skills are important for all subjects and they must be part of the focus. My hourly fee is negotiable on a case-by-case basis.
