"Hello,
My name is Rebecca. I am a registered nurse of 28 years with a master's degree in nursing education. I specialize in NCLEX/NGN, course study, clinical, HESI preparation, and medical billing and coding with a focus in the areas of time management, test-taking strategies, stress and anxiety techniques, remediation, and how to approach NCLEX questions. I cover the areas of Fundamentals in Nursing, Medical Terminology, Adult Health I & II, Pharmacology, Dosage calculations, Maternal and child, EKG/ECG interpretations, and Pediatrics.
I am familiar with UWorld, Kaplan, ATI, Smart'n, and Picmonic, for the purpose of HESI and NCLEX review. I can access many texts depending the tutee's program and school of choice.
I have professional experience in bedside, management, education, travel, and remote nursing. I have specialized in the areas of Skilled, Transitional Care, Medical-Surgical, Orthopedics, Cardiac, Critical Care, Mental health (adult and children), and Geriatric nursing. I currently work from home as a telephone triage nurse, legal nurse consultant, an accredited KBN CE provider, and a nursing tutor.
My education path began at a private nursing facility as a nursing assistant and medication technician in 1995. I ventured on and graduated from Kentucky Community Technical College System in 2001 from their practical nursing program, from Western Kentucky University's registered nurse associate's program in 2005, from Indiana Wesleyan University's bachelor's of science in nursing program in 2012, and ultimately with a master's degree in nursing education in 2014 from Indiana Wesleyan University as well. I completed a chronic care management course in 2000, a legal nurse consultant program in 2021, and became an accredited Kentucky Board of Nursing continuous education provider in 2021.
I incorporate many different learning approaches best suited to each tutee. I believe that everyone is capable of succeding.
My tutee pass rate for the NGN NCLEX has been 100% up to date." less...
