"Hi! My name is Dima and I am a chemistry and AP chemistry teacher. I currently hold bachelors of science and masters of science degrees in Chemical Engineering. I am working on another masters degree is adolescent education teaching chemistry, which I will be certified for within the year. I have a passion for science and making it accessible to all students. My engineering background gives me the ability to deliver scientific information in a fun and educational manner.

I started out working as an engineer and began teaching on the college level. It was at that point I realized I love being in the classroom. After taking time off to raise my family, I decided to chase my passion and be a science teacher. Now, I have been teaching honors chemistry and AP chemistry for 2 years at a high school in NYC.

As a teacher, I provide students visuals as much as possible. I want them to be able to see what we are discussing and I tie it to real world scenarios. For example, when I do the solutions topic, I relate it back to water quality. Our final lab ties the whole topic together by testing different water samples using pH, ppm and other methods.
