"Hello! My name is Jarrod, and I'm looking forward to being your science tutor! I have an undergraduate degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Princeton University and a PhD in Biological Sciences from Louisiana State University. I am passionate about biology and environmental science education and have been a teacher and tutor for more than 20 years.

I have worked with hundreds of students as a college professor, high school teacher and tutor. I have taught AP Biology, AP Environmental Science, Genetics, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Ecology, Botany and Zoology. As a tutor, I have worked with students in a wide variety of subjects, but I am particularly experienced with tutoring AP Biology and AP Environmental Science. I have helped a number of students score 5's on their AP exams!

I’m patient and easy-going and will work with you step by step to help you accomplish your goals. I have developed a tutoring and teaching approach that helps students succeed by getting them to see and understand the “big picture” links among biological concepts.
