"Hi, I'm Jorge! I am an internationally recognized Fulbright scholar, have a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Computer Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering. I taught Digital Design in university for over 5 years, consistently rating as a top instructor, and was also a volunteer tutor. I was glad to help students achieve their goals and potential. Because of that, I also started teaching Ballroom and Latin partner dancing, which was a hobby of mine. Nowadays I also teach classes for improv comedy. Because of this range in experience, I can shift teaching styles to best suit my student, whether that be visual, audial, or kinesthetic. Teaching and tutoring are in my blood.

Professionally, I'm an entrepreneur and have founded my own and worked at other companies, for web development, hardware design, research and development, and virtual reality. I was project team leader, in charge of onboarding, tutoring new hires, and tutoring high school students in my topic, and earned a "Coach of the Year" award in 2022.

I was fortunate to have amazing teachers both in high school and college, that shaped my life. As a STEM teacher, I always look for that "aha!" moment of epiphany when my student discovers the missing cog in a cognitive problem. It is these moments that help lay the fundamental building blocks for higher level understanding of a subject, which is always reflected in ease of learning. And higher grades of course :)
