"I'm Dawn. I have a Bachelor of Science in History and a Masters of Education in Secondary Education with a background in research. I am passionate about teaching and seeing the student have that sudden spark when they finally get it. I like to find what works best with students through a variety of different learning modalities. Then cater my lessons and tutoring approach to what helps them the most. I believe that is more important to help the student find the answer than to memorize the answer. This method creates life long learning methods that can be used in and out of a school setting. My goal is to provide my students with the knowledge and skills that they can use in my class and moving forward in school and university.

I have experience with all types of students and learning abilities. Therefore, I can manage learning paces and abilities and be flexible to what a student needs. The end goal is for the student to feel successful and have a sense of achievement. I believe growth is often more important than mastery.
