"I'm Aland and I graduated from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science and Engineering. I've had many amazing teachers through high school and college and those teachers are who made me love the subjects they were teaching. I recall one computer science professor who developed engaging lesson plans and taught the material that we needed to know. I attended many of his office hours and he always went the extra mile to help me understand the core material of the class. I am extremely grateful to educators like him and I hope to pass the torch and instill my passion for my favorite subjects into the next generation of software developers and scientists!

I have eight years of professional UI web developer experience with a passion for UX, React, and JavaScript. I use HTML, CSS, webpack, npm, and the React library on a daily basis. I have developed React web applications that are viewed by millions of people. I have also tutored for AP Computer Science A, helping students achieve scores of 4 and higher and have some knowledge of AP Computer Science Principles. I am also a technical recruiter and have reviewed hundreds of resumes as well as interviewed many candidates from entry-level to experienced hire. I am open to offering mock interviews, both technical and behavioral. I am also a native English speaker. I started tutoring in college, helping my friends with their homework in data structure & algorithms, website design, and physics. Outside of work, I have also contributed to open source projects, and I also help teach classes at Code Nation, a non-profit organization that aims to help underserved high school students succeed in software development.
