"Hi, I’m Lauren! I’m currently a high school teacher. I have a Masters of Arts degree in Teaching (focused primarily on teaching History and Foreign Languages to high school students). I have been teaching high school since 2010, but I began tutoring students in Spanish, History, and English since 2004. I currently teach Spanish 1, but my true love is History. I also enjoy helping students with essay writing.

One thing I have found as a teacher and tutor is that young people struggle the most with organization and confidence. Often they need the encouragement to know they can succeed. Most also need help understanding how to study, as well as how to organize their time and materials in order to be successful.

If you ask any of my students, past or present, they would say I’m like a cheerleader! I love them and love to see them succeed! I also am a parent of 3 kids: one in college, one in high school, and one in elementary—so I know what it is like on the parent side too.
