"I am Tom! I graduated from Cal Poly SLO with a Bachelor's degree in History and a minor in German. It was in college where I found a love of teaching. I really took to the model of Cal Poly's "Learn by Doing" and have used this as a motto throughout my teaching career. I have spent the past 15 years volunteering at a sleepaway summer camp for adults and children with disabilities and that is where I found my calling to teach special education. This passion has made me want to go the extra mile for my students. I bring creativity and accessibility to my teaching and tutoring.

I have had 1 year teaching in a kindergarten classroom and currently teach students with severe intellectual and behavioral disabilities functional academics and daily living skills. I work directly with every student and teach classes up to 12 students. I have successfully taught elementary math and reading to students with significant disabilities.

I want to benefit every student I tutor as much as possible and highly encourage collaboration of resources and suggestions from students and parents. I am easy to reach and will always provide fast responses. Feel free to contact me with additional questions or to schedule a lesson.
