"Hello everyone! It is a pleasure to introduce myself to you. My name is Josiah and I am a passionate educator with eleven years of teaching experience. I hold a New York State Professional Certification in Childhood Education and Special Education. In 2013, I completed my Masters in Curriculum Development and Instructional Technology at The University at Albany, NY, building on my foundation with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science from The College at Brockport, NY. My educational journey has been both diverse and enriching. From 2012, I served for three years as a Special Education Teacher in the Rochester City School District, providing individualized and small-group instructional support to students with diverse educational needs.

For the past nine years, I have had the privilege of teaching internationally, with experiences spanning Tanzania, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka. During this time, I spent five years as a classroom teacher, ranging from grades 2 to 5, and four years as a Special Education teacher. This global exposure has broadened my perspective on effective teaching methodologies and the unique needs of students from diverse backgrounds. In addition to my formal teaching roles, I dedicated three years to tutoring. During this period, I supported students in acquiring essential skills to meet grade-level expectations in literacy and mathematics.

My tutoring approach is centered on tailoring lessons to each student's unique needs, creating a supportive and engaging learning environment. I firmly believe in adapting strategies to cater to diverse learning styles, ensuring a thorough and comprehensive understanding of subjects.
