"Hello! My name is Alddie, and I am a Biology Pre-Health student at the University of Central Florida, aspiring to earn my PharmD to become a pharmacist. My academic journey is driven by a deep passion for both modern medicine and holistic practices, which I explore through my coursework in medical and culinary botany. Throughout my studies, I have developed strong analytical, research, and communication skills that allow me to break down complex scientific concepts into accessible and engaging lessons.
My experience in education comes from three summers as a STEM residential mentor at the SC Governor’s School for Science & Mathematics, which I graduated from in 2022. In this role, I assisted professors with classroom management, adapted lesson plans to students’ needs, and designed interactive activities to encourage curiosity and hands-on learning. Beyond the classroom, I helped students with their coursework during study hours, providing guidance on challenging concepts and fostering problem-solving skills. In 2024, I was promoted to intern assistant due to my leadership and ability to mentor new student instructors. Additionally, my experience helping my younger brother, who is on the autism spectrum, with his homework has given me valuable insight into adapting teaching approaches to fit different learning styles. I strive to create an inclusive, patient, and engaging learning environment where all students feel supported in their academic journey.
While I may not have formal one-on-one tutoring experience, my background in facilitating STEM education in classroom and camp settings has equipped me with the skills to guide students effectively. I look forward to helping learners build confidence and deepen their understanding of science in a way that works best for them!" less...
