"Hi! I am Sam, I am an undergraduate student at UCLA. I am a pre-med Psychobiology major and plan to graduate in the Spring with honors. I have extensive research experience in biomaterials, and transplant studies, having published multiple papers within the fields. I currently work at the Terasaki Institute of Biomedical Innovations and am researching human-mice chimera transplants using induced pluripotent stem cells (IPSCS). I have previously worked on cancer modeling using patient derived organoids, as well as developed a biomaterials for atopic dermatitis and diabetic ulcer treatment. I try to leverage my experiences within and outside the classroom to bring an accessible and enriching environment to my students. I like to structure my lessons to not only address individual concerns but also help achieve academic satisfaction.

I have experience ranging from teaching Middle school Chemistry to Biochemistry and MCAT tutoring over the course of 7 years. I have the most experience in AP chemistry with some of my students improving by two letter grades over the course. In my biology and chemistry tutoring I leverage my research experience to build upon textbook examples with real world applications.

Some of the accomplishments of my students include: 5 AP Biology, 5 AP Chemistry, Test Average improvement of 72 to 95, exam grade improvements of 26 percent.
