"I have been substitute teaching in Nashua for 5 past years. I am very versatile in grade levels K-5 in all subject areas. I'm familiar with the requirements & teachers' expectations for students. I have also worked as a teacher aide working with students one on one. I often help students rewrite their drafts or give them ideas of how to expand their writing. In the past I did tutor some students in math & algebra, which is my favorite subject. I teach math and language arts in elementary grades every class so I'm current with common core as well.
I have a lot of patience, and have learned different strategies over the years to explain a concept. My approach to overcoming what is not understood, is to use what the student understands and then to build on that. Often times the key to learning a new skill is having the basic foundation skills and to ensure all of those are solid first. I feel education is important, and if I can help a child get on track, then it's rewarding for both of us. I have been given many complements by teachers that I have worked with; such as thinking I was certified, classroom management style, etc.
I offer the opportunity for a free consultation to see if I'm a good fit for your child's goals. You will not be disappointed in choosing me to help you succeed." less...
