"I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in General Studies with a focus in Education and Social Studies. Most of my jobs have included working with children. I have been a substitute teacher for over five years now and have worked with the grades K-6. I have also worked in a children's library and have knowledge and access to materials that can help with the subject that I am tutoring.

I enjoy working with children and helping them learn the material! I have taken multiple classes for education and am currently getting my education degree online. I have only tutored once before when I was going to school but I am actively working as a substitute teacher and have a lot of classroom knowledge. I am more than happy to go above and beyond to help you learn. For my tutoring approach, it helps me to bring an outline to show you of that material that we will cover. Then we will talk about the topic in a new fun and exciting way! After we begin, I will teach the material in a learning style that best fits your needs. I try to stay up to date with vocabulary and would provide ways to help the student remember their vocabulary. I think Spelling is so fun! Helping a child sound out the word is the first step and then finding a fun way to remember the order of the letters is important.
