"I have worked as a web developer for more than 20 years and have taught elementary students in various subjects for the last 3 years. I am proficient in HTML, CSS, SQL, Java Script, JQuery and PHP. I understand the challenges it takes learning a new set of skills rather it is math, reading or computer science. I have helped many students define goals to accomplish in achieving their desired results for creating their first website or to become experienced in the various subjects. In addition, I was invited to give a lecture at Tulane University on how information is collected and used on the web. Also, I have been hired to consult and train employees updating and maintaining their website infrastructure. In addition, I have taught at various levels to help them with their subjects.
Working as a teacher, I have learned how to relay information on a concise and clear manner. For my computer classes, I will help you understand each of the languages in-depth, how the languages work together, and how the languages or applied to the real world.
Each lesson will be tailored to your experience level. Each student will learn to understand the differences between client and server scripts and how files are sent to your browser to interpret what you see on your screen. Then we will have a hands-on approach by developing a website with client-side scripts (HTML, CSS, JQuery) and start with very simple server-side scripts (PHP). Finally, we will get into more advanced stages of programming by creating forms and collecting information that is submitted into a database where you will learn PHP and SQL.
I would like to share my experiences with anyone interested in learning web development for personal growth, school assignments, or to advance in your current position." less...
