"I began my career with a BA in Elementary Education and a Colorado Teaching Certificate. I taught K-2nd grade at a school in Fort Collins for 7 years. After becoming a parent, I worked as the Director of a licensed preschool in Telluride, CO and then took a position as the Director of Children’s Programs at the Wyndham Peaks Resort. Currently, I am working as a licensed substitute teacher in Poudre School District.

I helped develop the PK-2nd grade math curriculum while at the school where I taught K-2nd grade and believe in working with math manipulatives for early elementary school students to help them grasp abstract concepts.

I currently run book clubs in and around Fort Collins for elementary school students. Nurturing a child’s interest in exploring the adventure and knowledge that books can provide can ignite a spark and passion for reading that lasts a lifetime. I believe all children have the ability to enjoy learning, sometimes it just takes an individualized approach.

My time is valuable, as is your time and your child's. For this reason, I encourage children to be dropped off at least 5 minutes before the scheduled tutoring session. I prefer to meet at a library in the Poudre Library District, as it is a quiet place with an abundance of resources at our fingertips. I will also meet with your child in your home or at an alternate location that we both feel is conducive to learning.
