"I am a former middle school and high school teacher with experience teaching English and American History. I have a passion for helping students of all ages learn, and for helping them to better themselves. While I was a classroom teacher, I also tutored students in small group, and 1 on 1, settings.

I am a graduate of Florida State University, achieving cum laude honors in the school of Education. I have many years of experience as a Gifted Studies Coordinator, as well as working with students with learning disabilities. As a teacher that also has ADHD, I know the struggles that many students go through on a daily basis. With practice and encouragement, I believe every one of my students can improve, not only their grades, but themselves as well. I also worked as an observation classroom teacher for my county, meaning that other teachers from around the county would come to view my teaching practices, especially on the Socratic Method.

I always love hearing from former students who tell me that they still used the reading and writing strategies I taught them after leaving my classroom.

I am very patient and am very good at breaking down complex subjects into easier to understand concepts for my students.
