"I'm Brandi. I graduated with a Master's degree in Elementary Education and a Bachelor's in Marketing Management. I am certified in Elementary Education K-6 and Students with Disabilities K-12. I have been working in Education for 15 years as both a teacher and a tutor. I believe in engaging lessons that provide real life connects to provide students with opportunities to be involved in their learning. My lessons have a social-emotional learning component at the beginning to check in with the students. All lessons contain learning objectives, guided practice, independent practice and an exit ticket with debrief. I strongly believe in allowing the students a voice in their learning to ensure that their learning style is being explored to allow for growth and success in all content areas.

I have 15 years of teaching and tutoring experience for elementary and middle school content areas. I have worked with students in a classroom of 20-30 students for kindergarten, first grade, second grade and fifth grade. I have tutored students for math and reading for kindergarten through 9th grade and SAT Prep for 11th grade. In the classroom, I had 5-7 students for remedial instruction for both math and reading. I have also worked as a homebound instructor for elementary, middle and high school students.

I love to watch the growth of my students and believe that communication is the key between the tutor and the student as well as parent communication.
