"I have a Bachelor's degree in History, followed by post-baccalaureate study at the University of Pennsylvania and then a Master's in Classics from CU-Boulder. This training has provided me with skills in classical languages (Latin and Ancient Greek), historical analysis, writing, and argumentation.

As an undergraduate, I volunteered as a tutor with Reading Partners Tulsa, helping elementary students improve their reading skills one-on-one. During graduate school, I taught undergraduate classes and worked as a TA. I discovered that I love teaching, so after graduation I began teaching middle and high school English, History, and Government at a private school in Denver. I have taught both in-person and online. In addition to fine-tuning my teaching skills, I have also now successfully coached several students through the college application process.

Finally, I have two seasons of hands-on experience on archaeological projects, including working as a trench supervisor in the field in Croatia.
