"I love teaching and I love students of all ages. I taught school for 16 years. I have tutored for many years as well. I have taught home schooled students and I helped start a school. I love to teach in a relaxed, supportive way that focuses on a student's strengths and interests. I have strong interpersonal skills and value creating a solid, positive rapport with students. One of my favorite things about tutoring is getting to know my students well and seeing them master skills and the sense of pride and accomplishment that follows.

I have extensive experience teaching all aspects of Language Arts. I have taught all ages and abilities. I have a degree in teaching students with learning differences as well as a degree in Elementary Education. I am a teacher consultant for the Southern Maine Writing Project.

I have worked with many home school groups and am flexible with scheduling and can easily adapt to different needs.

I have taught many children to read over the years and have a variety of tools in my teaching tool bag to support many different styles of learning.
