These are my very favorite two Social Studies subjects and I have loved teaching and tutoring them for many years. I especially enjoy the AP courses in these subjects and my students have had tremendous success on these exams. After recently relocating from Orlando to St. Petersburg, I decided to leave public high school teaching and I now have much more time to devote to tutoring.

AP US History is my specialty and I have been a reader (scorer) for the national AP US History exam for the past ten years. There is no better help in preparing and reviewing for this exam than to work with someone who has graded it for the past ten years! I have taught not only students in AP U.S. History, but also teachers in College Board workshops. In addition, I have prepared multiple review materials for the AP U.S. History course for Orange County, Palm Beach County and Sumter County as well as my own students. For my students, I offered tutoring throughout the year twice a week after school and when it came time to review for the national exam, we had small group and large group reviews after school two to three times per week for the six-week period before the exam date.

I have also taught U.S. History and had great success with my students in this course and on the Florida EOC Exam. And while I have taught the history courses longer, I also taught AP U.S. Government and Politics for nine years and am very proficient in this course and preparing for the national exam. As with my AP U.S .History classes, my U.S. History students and AP Government students also had multiple after school tutoring and after-school exam review sessions. I have always wanted my students to be prepared to the very best of their abilities!
