"Hello, I'm Dr. Michael. I received my BS in Kinesiology from the University of Houston and I also minored in nutrition. I then went on to graduate from CCCLA with my doctorate in chiropractic. I have worked as a chiropractor and functional medicine specialist for over 20 years. I have also been a teacher for over 20 years as well. I have taught a wide range of subjects, such as: anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, medical terminology, nutrition, biology, NBCE and MBLEX tutoring.
When it comes to biological sciences, it is almost like trying to learn a new language. I have always maintained that terminology is one of the most important concepts a student must grasp first. I always begin with this as a foundation and have seen this to be a very successful strategy with my students. I have also always worked hard to instill in my students a sense of awe in the human body. Our bodies are incredible and going into your studies with this sense of awe helps to motivate and inspire students when things begin to get tough. Learning should be fun and I always try to create an environment that is light and entertaining as well as educational.
Although I am a very busy person, I am easy to reach and always respond quickly to questions from students. Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions you may have. I look forward to helping you on your educational journey." less...
