"Hi, my name is Amber! I graduated cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, and minors in History and Education Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles. Go Bruins!
Since graduation in 2020, I have taught K-12th grade as a daily and resident substitute teacher. Additionally, I am the research coordinator for the UCLA ADHD & Development Lab. My current research interests include examining the relationship between youth psychopathology, academic achievement and peer relationships.
I have independently been tutoring since 2018 with middle, high school, and college students covering a range of subjects (e.g., Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Chemistry, American History, Ancient Roman History, Psychology, Academic Writing, College Applications, Writing, etc.). These sessions have been conducted one on one or in small groups of four or less students. I am very passionate about teaching and am continuing my education currently pursuing doctoral studies in the area of psychology.
I aim to help all my students achieve both their long-term and short-term goals. I deliver learning content that is engaging and applicable using different methods to match individual learning styles. Please contact me if you have any questions or wish to schedule a session. Looking forward to hearing from you soon!" less...
