"Hello! My name is Jyothika and I am a Boston University Graduate, majoring in Behavior and Health with a concentration in Public Health. I have had many years of experience teaching elementary, middle, and high school students and I'm always looking forward to finding new ways to help you succeed!

My belief when it comes to tutoring is that you already have the ability to excel, I am just providing you with the tools to do so. I find that breaking down concepts into smaller pieces is key to clearing up confusion and allows students to gain confidence in their own knowledge as we progress through subjects. I love finding each student's unique learning style so that I can tailor my lessons to be the best for you! I highly value patience and respect as two key principles that I hold, so that you always feel comfortable and confident.

I have taught high school courses in health and medicine, middle school courses in algebra and math, and elementary school courses in math, reading, and writing. I also have over 4 years of experience tutoring high school students in various subjects including honors and AP coursework, and working with children with special needs.

I also have had extensive experience in college essay coaching, for both the Common App essay and supplemental essays. I received acceptances from multiple universities including the Kilachand Honors College at Boston University, Georgia Tech, and the University of Georgia. Students that I have worked with have been accepted to Emory University, the University of Chicago, and Harvard.
