"I'm Desiray! I graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. Growing up, I was always described as academically gifted, as I consistently held high grades. Hearing this for so long, I grew to love school knowing it was something I was "good" at. While things come naturally to me, I do have ADHD, so completely understand the struggling school can bring to many. In all honesty, having grown up with ADHD, I often felt like I lacked "talent" in a specific area...turns out I have fun bouncing between topics and learning whatever I can! With that being said, I love to help others learn to the best of their ability, while also instilling the confidence many crave when being tutored. It's important to remember that we all learn in our own ways! I look to make everyone gain a positive outlook on what may seem like an overwhelming situation, while also making things fun and as straightforward as possible.
I have over 3 years of experience working as a tutor at various public elementary schools. During these years I worked with students of all kinds while holding a bond with each and every one of them. Working in the classroom, I would monitor many students at once. Despite this, each of my students would receive one-on-one tutoring, where we could not only focus on their specific needs but also learn the material in the best way suited for them. Whether you be a visual learner, an auditory learner, a kinesthetic learner, or a reading/writing learner, my years of experience as a tutor have taught me how to adjust my teaching just for you!
All in all, I hope to assist many who need a little confidence boost! Since perfection is unachievable, I would love to hear any feedback from parents or students so that I can only get better for you! Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions you may have and expect a response in a timely manner." less...
