"I hold a Master of Science in Engineering Management and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rochester. I also have earned my Engineer in Training (EIT) license, which demonstrates my mastery of engineering principles. My academic journey has provided a strong foundation in math, physics, and engineering, alongside hands-on experience in Python, MATLAB, and Tableau. I use these technical skills to make lessons more relevant and accessible for students. My goal is to simplify complex topics and help students understand their real-world applications.
With over four years of tutoring experience, I have taught middle school, high school, and college students, as well as served as a graduate teaching assistant. In this role, I worked with students, assisted with lectures, and provided one-on-one support, refining my ability to engage learners with various learning styles. My tutoring approach is student-centered, focusing on personalized lessons that cater to individual strengths and challenges. I break down complex concepts into manageable steps and encourage active engagement to boost students’ confidence.
In addition to tutoring, I have volunteered as a technical assistant for CodeQuest, helping high school students solve software problems. My tutoring experience includes both individual and group sessions, where I’ve helped students prepare for exams and improve their problem-solving skills. I focus on creating a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring new ideas. Teaching is a rewarding experience, and I aim to empower students with the tools, strategies, and confidence they need to succeed." less...
