"Hello! My name is Jeremy R. and I have been an educator for over 7 years both in the classroom and as a private tutor. I graduated with honors from Florida State University with a BA in English and shortly after returned to school in order to pursue my teaching license for 6-12 education. Most recently I taught middle and high school at a dual language international academy in Costa Rica before returning to my home state of Florida.

If I were to distill my teaching style down to one word it would be: Connections. The joy of making connections with students and helping them make connections to new material is what drew me to education in the first place. I aim to understand each of my students so that I can cater their lessons and tutoring in a way that best suites them. Whether it is connecting the material to the students preferred learning style, personal interests, or extra-curricular knowledge, I try my best to meet my students where they are before exploring new concepts with them.

I have direct experience teaching or tutoring in: 6-12 English, 6-8 Math & Science, AP Literature, College Essay Writing, SAT & ACT Prep, and more.
