"My first experience tutoring was helping my little sister and her friends with middle school math and history. Though they were at times challenging to work with, we persevered and saw real results. I was in high school then, and since then I have worked with elementary, middle, and high school students through my own private business, Flyers Tutoring. I have tutored various subjects including math, physics, and history, working in-person and online, both in small groups and one-on-one.
I graduated Chaminade High School (Mineola, NY) in 2024 as an honors student and President of Science Olympiad. During my high school career, I received an SAT super-score of 1570 (780 Math, 790 English) and passed several AP exams including AP Bio, AP Chemistry, and AP Calculus, all with with perfect 5s. As I currently work academically towards a combined B.S./M.S. in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Miami, I also seek to make a difference in the academic lives of my younger peers, because I've been in their place before. Thanks to both personal and professional experience, I am familiar with different learning styles.
As a tutor, I teach students how to help themselves. That is the real role of a mentor, to give the student the little push they need to make those mental connections and grasp essential concepts. Everyone has something they enjoy learning about, whether it be sports, or math, or trains or history.
