"Hi, my name is Ankki! I'm currently a student at the University of Chicago, studying Business Economics and Data Science. Over the past four years, I’ve built up a wide range of tutoring experience with students of different ages and academic levels. One of my most memorable roles was working in-person with a classroom of about 15 ESL students, all around 7–8 years old. I helped them strengthen their math and English skills, focusing on both foundational understanding and confidence-building. It was such a rewarding experience to see their progress over time, especially as they gained comfort with a new language while tackling academic material.

Outside the classroom, I’ve also done a lot of one-on-one tutoring with middle school students (ages 10–13), primarily in algebra and grammar. I enjoy personalizing my approach to each student, whether it’s using real-world examples, interactive practice, or just being patient and encouraging through challenging topics. On top of that, I’ve worked with high schoolers on SAT prep, designing study plans based on their specific strengths and areas for improvement. No matter the age group, I try to bring energy, clarity, and a growth mindset to every session.
