"Hi! I'm Raquel! I have recently graduated from the University of California - Irvine with a degree in Business Economics. I was a student-athlete as I competed on the Women & tennis team for my school before having to step down due to injuries. Having been a student athlete since my elementary school years I have had to learn how to use my time most productively and efficiently. I have been tutoring since I was in the eighth grade helping students with all subjects but mostly an emphasis on Math, Spanish, and Science. I always look forward to helping my students conquer a topic or subject since I can relate to their feelings of relief and accomplishment once they grasp the concept. There is no better feeling than no longer feeling lost. I can adapt to my students and find the best way they learn - I have worked with students who have IEPS - and tailor my teaching to fit their strengths. I make sure to give them some extra material and feedback so they can continue to practice and improve.

I have been tutoring and helping students for the last eight years in math ranging from elementary math to honors calculus.

I can speak, write, and understand Spanish fluently as it is my first language. I have tutored students from elementary Spanish to AP Spanish Language and Literacy.
