"Hi, my name is Sequoia and I would love to be your tutor! My main goal for my students is that they understand their course load and gain confidence in the current subjects. I received my bachelor's degree in Biology from Temple University in 2015. During that time, I developed self-discipline and study techniques to combat the curriculum. A few years later, I received my master's degree in Public Health from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in 2018. During my time there I was a graduate teaching assistant for multiple courses including statistics. Additionally, I took two courses in Statistics as well, so I am very apt in tutoring for statistics and other related math courses. I take pride in being a good student, so my goal is to help you feel that you are one too.

Since most of my higher education curricula consist of mostly STEM subjects, I prefer to teach mostly math and science courses. I have experience working with graduate students, but I can work with students as young as middle school. Former students that I have tutored mentioned that I am patient and thorough during my lessons. Additionally, I love learning, so I do not mind tutoring in other subjects because it helps me learn too! For example, I am proficient in Spanish at the intermediate level and currently studying to increase my knowledge in the language as well. Lastly, I took a practice course for the GRE, so I am familiar with test strategies for the exam as well.
