"I earned a bachelor's in applied mathematics and a PhD in Statistics. I really love tutoring math and statistics subjects because I feel rewarded when students succeed in their academic careers. As a statistician I really enjoy working with different data sets and teaching how to apply these data sets to real-world examples. The famous statistician John Tukey said, " The best thing about being a statistician is that you get to play in everyone's backyard".

Currently, I am a math and statistics instructor at a community college. I have taught many different types of math and statistics courses in my 15 years at different colleges and universities. I mostly taught small classes (maximum 25 students). I also offered extensive undergraduate and graduate statistics courses such as Introduction to Statistics, Introduction to Probability, Statistical Inference, Advanced Regression Analysis, Mathematical Statistics, Introduction Math to Data Science, Essentials of Data Science, Actuarial Probability, Forecasting Models and Computational Statistics. In addition, I mentored undergraduate data analysis research projects including regression analyses of crime with panel data and the effect of nutrition on COVID-19 death rate. Instructed students in cleaning data, writing statistical reports, and using R software for analysis.

My central role as a math and statistics educator is to provide tools and resources to students in order for them to achieve their goals and have fun while doing it. My main approach to teaching is to engage students individually or in groups by using question-and-answer sessions, discussion, interactive lecture (in which students respond to or ask questions) and hands-on activities.
