"I graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in Neuroscience in 2018. I returned to Ohio State in 2019 for medical school which I completed in May 2023. I am now in my second year as a resident physician at the University of Pennsylvania, where I specialize in neurology. I spent 3 years tutoring medical students at Ohio State in both pre-clinical and clinical subjects. Prior to medical school, I worked as an MCAT test prep instructor and tutored various subjects including math, science, and English across all age groups. Since starting residency last year, I've continued to tutor many students in various topics, mostly focusing on high school level science courses, undergraduate level biology/biochemistry/microbiology, medical student courses, and test preparation (MCAT, USMLE Step exams, and Shelf exams).
I was previously a volunteer tutor at Columbus Metropolitan library in the Homework Help Center where I have had the chance to work with students from ages 5-18, all with different strengths. I have also tutored other students at the college level, mainly in introductory biology as well as organic chemistry, and have taught various test preparation courses. I enjoy uncovering how each individual student learns, and then catering my tutoring style to best fit their method.
I have always enjoyed science and would like to encourage other people to have fun with it as well. The subjects come with many problems and concepts that I would like to help others understand and appreciate. It’s very satisfying to observe other students become proficient in solving complex problems and it’s very rewarding to be a part of that process. My goal when tutoring science is to get students interested in the subject, as I believe that is the first step to mastering it.
