"I studied chemical engineering in college, but now my professional work is in mechanical engineering. I taught engineering thermodynamics as an adjunct professor at the university level for 3 years. After finding the size of lecture classes too big to make a meaningful impact, I decided to focus on teaching and tutoring in smaller group settings. I emphasize developing a real understanding of a topic rather than doing enough to just get by on your test. Students who learn to understand rather than to get by tell me they retain their knowledge for much longer. I love tutoring because I know that I am making an impact on a learner's growth so they can advance their careers and achieve their goals.

I did very well in math topics throughout high school, undergraduate, and graduate studies. Most of my tutoring to date is in math intensive fields, such as engineering or finance.
