First, I spent a year tutoring high school freshman at Cristo Rey Boston. These were one-on-one sessions where I helped students with whatever subject they needed. This was most often algebra and physics, but I also helped them study English, Latin, and music. I then spent a year as a teaching assistant for a computer science class at Boston College, which involved teaching group sessions of basic programming problems in python, having office hours helping students with homework or exam study (both one-on-one and small group), and grading student assignments. I am currently working as an instructor for a company called Inspirit AI, which teaches python and AI to a small group of high schoolers on zoom.

Whenever a student is struggling, I think it is almost never the case that they understand nothing. Thus, I always try to build upon what they do understand, so they can get a clear, wholistic vision of the subject. While the technical subjects I specialize in are often seen as exceptionally difficult, I think the philosophy of building upon what a student does understand can make them intuitive.
I think understanding technical subjects almost always comes down to putting it into a context a student can understand. If any of this sounds appealing to you, feel free to schedule a lesson or contact me to discuss further. I am excited to help any student that needs it!" less...
