During college, I helped out my peers in classes from calculus and circuits to data structures. I have been tutoring since I was in high school, totaling 7 years of experience. My librarian noticed my performance in classes and asked me to help a student out with their algebra work when I had free time. They seemed to understand the way I taught, so I ended up helping lots of students in high school! I continued this work in college by becoming a Supplemental Instruction leader, where I designed interactive lesson plans to review concepts that were taught in Data Structures. In these review sessions, we would do group activities, board work, games, and I would explain concepts to reinforce the material that was taught in class. Now that I have moved on to pursue a Master's Degree, I am still helping out students as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, and am always looking for more ways to do what I can to help.
