"I have been volunteering to tutor gifted high schoolers since 2003, and my love of language led me to spend several years in Spain teaching ESL in Madrid (and spending summers teaching on the beach). I learned a lot about how to keep a conversation engaging and memorable, and that I truly enjoyed making connections with people while helping them to learn and feel comfortable at the same time. I decided to pursue my Masters and PhD in Social Psychology, primarily studying group behavior and leadership, but I don't think the University life is for me. My hours are fairly flexible, and I'm always connected so it's easy to be in touch. I'm blessed with an extremely fast internet connection when at home, and some high-quality audio and video equipment, which means more time tutoring and less time dealing with disconnections and dropped calls. I believe I am only" less...
