"I’m Nicole! I am currently studying at the University of Maryland, and have entered my senior year. I am just a semester away from obtaining my bachelor’s degree in English, with an associates degree already secured under my belt. I started tutoring and offering my services to peers, students, and children when I was in high-school. I have held study groups and private tutoring sessions alike. I have assisted with essay writing on a college campus setting, participated in study groups with peers, and helped children with homework assignments during at-home tutoring sessions as well. My approach to tutoring is very collaborative. My goal is for any child or student to gain confidence in their skills as a writer, while I support them each step of the way. The key is to openly discuss the skills that the student is unsure of, as well as those that they feel more confident in, in order to tackle the challenge in the most efficient way possible. Mistakes are natural, and each one offers an opportunity for improvement!

I have a passion for writing and English, and my ultimate goal is to be a support system and a positive guide for students looking to improve in their abilities as young writers. I have met many wonderful professors throughout my time at university, and it really is true that a great teacher makes a course and a subject that much more enjoyable to learn.
