"Hi, I'm Abbey! I graduated cum laude with a dual degree in English Literature and Creative Writing from Beloit College. From there, I went on to study Contemplative Education as part of my Interdisciplinary Master's Degree at Naropa University.

When I was still in high school, I tutored a good friend of mine in algebra, helping her grasp the concepts and bring up her grade. While I was studying at Naropa University, my teaching experience was in creative writing and in theatrical clown. Post-graduation, I organized the Stumptown Clown Collective and taught groups of 20 students at a time how to perform theatrical clown. We had a great time learning how to be more present and expressive, and we put on some fun community shows.

Since then, I've returned to writing and copyediting. I spent 2.5 years as the main Contributing Editor of Rangefinder Magazine Online and worked with diverse writers, helping them develop magazine-quality articles. Currently, I'm a freelance journalist for Community Sentinel Magazine.

I enjoy working with people in all age groups and particularly enjoy helping people write essays, fiction, and poetry. I can also assist with reading and comprehension. Most of all, I love helping people work on their writing, increasing its clarity and accuracy.
