"Originally from Portland Oregon, I spent many years living in and traveling around Europe. After receiving my MA in philosophy from University College Dublin in Ireland, I moved back to Portland to teach in the Philosophy Department and Conflict Resolution Graduate Program at Portland State University, as well as the Philosophy Department at University of Portland. Noticing a lack of college readiness in my college students, I decided to become a high school Language Arts teacher. I studied English at University of Oregon and completed my MAT at Lewis and Clark.

I have seven years experience in English/Literature instruction. Four years ago I created philosophy program at Lincoln High School, and now teach IB Philosophy and Ethics, as well as public speaking.
