"For 11 years I have tutored English, writing, and US culture to over 350 Microsoft international transfers and their family members, and in the past three of those 11, to dozens of middle and high school students as well.

ACCURATE COMPREHENSION AND EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION ARE KEY TO TOP PERFORMANCE AT BOTH WORK AND SCHOOL. Therefore, I carefully coach listening/reading comprehension and writing/speaking skills using a variety of techniques to teach and inspire my client-students to learn and create new material, complete assignments, and enjoy the process of doing so as much as possible.

-Observe and analyze logically and comprehensively

-Express answers, points, and insights in correct, succinct English for maximum impact

MY FEEDBACK: In addition to giving feedback throughout our sessions, I type notes to keep track of the grammar, pronunciation, comprehension, and word and phrasing choice errors and corrections as well as standard principles and best practices we discuss. After each session, I email those notes to the student-client for review and reference.

MY TEACHING STYLE: I value each person I work with as a very special human being. I recognize that everyone has a unique set of learning challenges and situational demands, so I endeavor to formulate and apply, and reformulate as needed, the most fitting combination of learning styles and methods – and most importantly, do so patiently.

MY EDUCATION: I earned my BA in history from Indiana University-Bloomington.
