"Hello, my name is Hallel! I have a PhD in Music Theory from the University of Oregon and over ten years of teaching experience. At age 14, I began teaching piano lessons and continued to do so well into my 20s. Beginning in my freshman year of college, I also became a tutor in music theory for the university’s peer tutoring program. Upon entry into graduate school, I was awarded a teaching fellowship in music theory and proceeded to teach music theory classes for music majors and minors for seven years.

I love to teach. As a teacher, I live for that Aha! moment that my students have when a concept finally clicks.
