"My objective in tutoring is to help my students reach their goals. In practice, this means that I work hard to assist my students in understanding the subject matter while also teaching the student to become an independent learner. My years of experience have given me the skills to put concepts in terms that students will understand.

I have many years of experience tutoring students ranging in level from high school through the first several years of college math. I am as comfortable showing a young student how fractions work as I am in demonstrating graphing to an adult who is struggling with algebra.

In addition to my many years of working as a private tutor, I also have experience tutoring in a walk-in community college math center. This has given me quite a bit of skill working with a wide range of adults on many levels.
