"My name is John Joseph V. Jr., and I am passionate about making math accessible, engaging, and even fun! I hold a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and another in Electrical Engineering, along with additional degrees in science-related fields. My teaching journey began with informal tutoring in college, leading to my teaching certification in 2013. Since then, I have taught both in the U.S. and internationally, working with students from 5th grade through university-level mathematics. My experience spans large classroom settings, small group instruction, and one-on-one tutoring—both in person and online.
My tutoring approach is highly visual and interactive. I use online platforms, dynamic software tools, and hands-on manipulatives to help students develop a deep conceptual understanding of math. I believe in connecting math to real-world applications and tailoring my lessons to each student’s interests whenever possible. Additionally, I create and share instructional math videos, which I often incorporate into my teaching to reinforce concepts. Whether you need help mastering the fundamentals, tackling advanced topics, or preparing for exams, I am committed to making math clearer and more enjoyable. I look forward to working with you!" less...
