"I am currently an undergrad at Hobart and William Smith Colleges with three years of experience in their writing colleagues peer tutoring program. I may now an on staff writing tutor in the center for teaching and learning and students can specially request my help. I have also presented about my work with the program at the ARWS Writing conference.

Beyond this I am the Editor in Chief of the Herald the school's news paper and a published reporter, poet, and working freelancer. My areas of expertise include Composition, Creative writing, academic writing, and professional writing and journalism. I am also an excellent coach to help students write application essays.

I think the most important aspect of teaching students to write is to allow them to retain control of their own language. I am well versed and trained in Paulo Feire and Bell Hooks' research in the field and use it to help writers and English speakers develop their own empowered relationship with the process and language. I think the best tutors are ones who teach the students to improve their own writing and recognize the process behind great writing because everyone can be a great writer but not everyone knows how to get there

I have over three years experience as a reporter, copy editor and a tutor. At the same time I am younger than most tutors and can relate to students because I was in their shoes not too long ago.
